Hello, hello people! How's it hanging? I hope you had a great weekend. Here, in the Central Valley, CA it was gor-ge-ous. Today the high was 77... blue skies... and a gentle breeze. Sigh... sometimes its a wonderful thing to live in Cali.But anywho, I just had to share my latest project with you. Well, actually not my latest because they were in my last post, but you know what I mean. I present to you my self-proclaimed "Ugliest Chandelier Contest" winner. I'm not sure if it qualifies as a chandelier, or not, but I'm definitely sure its ugly.
At some point I'm guessing this was all the rage. My question is... why? I mean... why? This thing is hideous. Who would've forked out moolah for this. (Sorry, if you ever had one your house, but I'm glad you've come to your senses.) Check out the plastic rust-colored covers... sexy, right! And just for the record, I paid na-da for it, it was given to me.
I'm sure Mr. Uncluttered thought I was crazy when I said I was going to use it somewhere in the house. But he had to realize I was not going to let in the house looking the way it was... goodness I do have some standards. Albeit, low at times. LOL.
I disconnected the lamp, took out the plastic rust-colored thingamabob, added a little spray paint, some dollar store mirrors, rope, a few candles and this is what I got.
Ah... much better.
