Good day ladies (and gents if your out there). I hope your Sunday has treated you nice. Today, I'm in desperate need of your feedback. I seem to be at a complete standstill. I'm failing terribly to make a decision. I keep teetering back and forth.
Here's the deal, I have been working on a serpentine dresser that was given to me. This is a midway-through-sanding before shot. (I'm so good at forgetting to take before shots, I figured, why break the trend... right.) The drawer hasn't been sanding nor the very front. Can you see how faded and inconsistent the finish is? The entire dresser pretty much looked the same way.
I knew I wanted a two-toned finish. No problem with that.
However, when it came to time to tackle the top everything has come to a screeching halt. And I've been a wee bit indecisive ever since.
I can't decide what to do with it. Should I stain it like the drawers or paint it like the body? I've always liked a stained top with a painted body, But I've never done a painted body with stained drawers before neither. Does that change how I should handle the top? I also like the fact that each drawer would look like it's in a box and that would require me paint the top. Decisions, decisions.
Please, help this indecisive chick! Stain or paint? Feedback please, my paint brush is lonely.
